POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of your job is to ensure the Life Safety Code, physical plant, equipment, grounds and utilities are maintained in good working order and in accordance with community policies, state and federal regulations. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Maintenance Policies and Procedures.

Qualification/Responsibilities:

  • Interview, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate personnel within the Maintenance department
  • Make rounds, assesses, and make minor repairs
  • Must meet company policies and state and federal regulations regarding environmental services
  • Maintain required records, operate within budget, purchase supplies within budget
  • Ensure all work areas and equipment are clean, safe and orderly. Strict adherence to procedures involving chemicals, hazardous equipment or objects
  • Conduct preventative maintenance as assigned to include but not be limited to facility logs such as water temperature, call lights, generator and fire alarms
  • Ensure work schedules are followed and coordinate services with other departments
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in environmental services, maintenance, or relative trade, preferably in the healthcare or hospitality industry.
  • Previous experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
